TRON LEGACY: QUORRA 2

Cosplay and Photo editing by :icon alita-b-angel:

This costume, along with :iconqueencattabby:, :iconechoing-artemis: and :iconarlo-arleh: won Best of Show at Armaggedon Syd 2011.

Please check out Anna's awesome Xena costume here: THE WARRIOR PRINCESS

And Arleh (DAMN HER SEXY SELF) as shot by Beethy over here: TRON: SIREN

About the Costume:
A Classic Quorra pose. Though this was extremely hard because of how I made the EL wire in the costume. Still one of the hardest costumes I've ever made.

The costume was double lined with EL wire with the battery pack sitting in the hub of my back and the visible battery pack. It was really important to me to make this costume so the light parts sat in line with the costume, with the black parts almost 'embossed' over the top of them. I didn't want to do what most others have with Tron costumes until this point which was mask the light separately and then stick this on top of their armour. Everything had to be seamlessly one piece. Ironically in the film, they DID just plonk their EL tape on top of their rubber suits, but I had to go one step further with mine haha.

Even so on the day I shorted out twice and had to be resoldered back into my electrics eek.

The black armour was made from eva skin foam with the EL wire double lined, reflected and then diffused along the edges for a solid line of light, and then stretched and covered with black lycra. I wanted to retain the black rubber texture of the original costumes.

Annnd most importantly have the 100% accurate hex pattern on my shirt and sides and collar. Acquiring this cost both sanity and money.

Full step by step tutorial to be found at Livejournal BATTLE ARLEH as always.

About the Edit:
Around 3 hours. A Plain tron background is the rarest creature on the internet. Getting the right Tron-look in an image is surprisingly hard.

I'll be enbarking on creating a lighted jacket for everyday wear. You can see the early design in which I used lucite tubes as embellishments. These will light up in my next project.
