Boy am I trying to clear this back log. These costumes were originally made for Smash 2009 during what we called our yaoi-costume-year. Yikes. And we didn't shoot it until two years later.

Ai no Kusabi is one of those anime's which stay with you since both me and Arleh adore tragic love stories. We loved the style of the animation which swapped the usual pretty boy uke with someone tough and hard-edged.

This was my foray into a leather coat (which I also fur lined since I knew it was going to be winter and I would be deathly cold). The cut of the coat was true 80's big shoulders, tiny waist and 3/4 sleeve which were atrocious in the 80s. Why did people think this was cool?

~arlo-arleh since she's all pale got Iason by default (also she's just slightly taller). With some wicked ass shoulder pads and a four tail red coat.

We thought these costumes were really fun despite no one knowing who we were at the time. But for those who did we shared a super secret yaoi handshake moment hurhur.
